Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Quality Assurance Engineer role based in the Konnagar, Hoogly, West Bengal. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and enterprise applications within the Svasamm business suite. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing manual functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing; logging, tracking, and verifying defects; and collaborating closely with software developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure high-quality releases. The engineer will review requirements and technical specifications for testability, provide feedback to improve product quality, and help define quality standards and best practices. The role may also involve basic test automation support, documentation of QA processes, and continuous improvement of testing workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Software Quality, Quality Assurance, and Software Quality Assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Understanding of the Software Development lifecycle and experience collaborating with development teams in an agile or iterative environment.
- Ability to design clear test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business and technical requirements.
- Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools, and familiarity with version control systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience testing ERP, CRM, HRMS, or similar enterprise applications, especially in domains such as Manufacturing, Healthcare, or FMCG, is an advantage.
- Basic exposure to test automation tools or scripting, performance testing, or API testing is a plus.
