The Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Consultant to own end-to-end test coverage across our web projects. You will work alongside our development consultants, who own unit testing, while you focus on the full-stack E2E layer: translating functional and non-functional specifications into automated test suites that run reliably on every deploy. This is a hands-on, technical role. You will not just review or advise; you will build, maintain, and run the automation.
What You Will Do
- Read functional and non-functional specifications and derive a complete test strategy from them
- Design, implement, and maintain automated end-to-end test suites for browser-based applications (UI, API, integration layers)
- Cover both functional correctness (user flows, acceptance criteria, edge cases) and non-functional requirements (performance thresholds, accessibility, security baseline, cross-browser compatibility)
- Triage failures, distinguish regressions from flakiness, and communicate clearly with developers
- Define and document test coverage standards and reporting conventions to be applied consistently across projects
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building E2E test automation from scratch, not maintaining someone else's framework, but owning it end to end
- Ability to read a spec (functional or non-functional) and produce a structured test plan without hand-holding
- Solid experience with at least one modern E2E/browser automation framework: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO, or equivalent. We are agnostic. Pick your tool.
- Familiarity with API testing as part of the full-stack test surface
- Strong understanding of regression strategy: what to run, when, and how to keep the suite fast and trustworthy
- Experience across multiple tech stacks, as we are stack-agnostic and rotate across different client environments
