Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site QA Automation Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise applications within the Papyros ECM ecosystem. You will be involved in testing complex business workflows, validating integrations, and supporting both manual and automated testing processes.
The role also offers exposure to modern testing practices and AI-driven features, including automated document processing, metadata extraction, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)-based functionality.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure that each solution is delivered with consistency, accuracy, and high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements and define appropriate testing approaches
- Design and execute test cases for business workflows and web applications
- Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Execute API testing and validate system integrations
- Identify, log, and track defects with clear and structured reporting
- Contribute to automation efforts (Playwright or similar tools)
- Participate in integration and system-level testing
- Maintain and improve test documentation and coverage
- Collaborate with development and analysis teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Contribute to improving testing processes, tools, and overall quality practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant discipline will be considered an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing
- Strong understanding of web application testing and business workflows
- Experience in manual testing and test case design
- Experience in test automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar)
- Experience with API testing (Postman, cURL, or similar tools)
- Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance testing (load, stress, scalability testing)
- Basic knowledge of security testing (OWASP principles, vulnerability awareness)
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., test generation, test optimization)
- Familiarity with evaluation of AI-driven features, including validation of generated outputs
- Interest in applying AI to improve testing processes and efficiency
