Main Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering:
Work with product managers and developers to collect and comprehend software requirements.
Convert requirements into detailed and actionable testing strategies.
Testing Execution
Create, develop, and execute extensive test plans and cases based on software specifications.
Conduct a variety of manual tests, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests.
API & Performance Testing
Execute API testing using tools like Postman to verify solid and reliable software integrations.
Conduct load and performance testing using tools like JMeter and Selenium to assess system performance under different conditions.
Automation Testing
Architect, develop, and run automation scripts to optimize the testing phase.
Regularly maintain and update automation frameworks as required.
Defect Tracking
Identify, document, and monitor software defects using issue tracking tools like Jira and Azure Boards.
Collaborate with developers to ensure prompt resolution of defects.
Security Assessments
Engage in security testing to detect vulnerabilities such as SQL injections, cross-site scripting, and unauthorized access attempts.
Team Collaboration
Engage closely with developers, product managers, and other key stakeholders to comprehend requirements, functionalities, and troubleshoot issues.
Offer constructive feedback on product quality and propose enhancements to elevate the user experience.
Documentation
Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, results, and quality metrics.
Ensure documentation is continually updated and accessible to pertinent stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
Profound understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Practical experience with API testing tools like Postman.
Expertise in diverse testing types, including white-box, black-box, unit, functional, and non-functional testing.
Familiarity with load and performance testing tools such as JMeter and Selenium.
Knowledge of security testing strategies such as SQL injections, cross-site scripting, and unauthorized access challenges.
Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Capability to design and craft automated test scripts.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Adeptness in quickly learning and adjusting to evolving requirements and technologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
