Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate testing plans, project status, and issues to management.
  • Work closely with project teams and management to prioritise requirements.
  • Perform QA activities across multiple projects, including:
  • Manual testing
  • Automation testing
  • System integration testing
  • User acceptance testing
  • Regression testing
  • Integrate QA engineering and analysis activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct quality reviews to assess whether application development projects meet defined quality standards.
  • Provide consultation and support on QA procedures, testing methodologies, and best practices.
  • Test new programs, features, tools, and techniques to assess functionality, usability, acceptability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and QA documentation.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance automation tools and test scripts.
  • Evaluate QA processes and collaborate with relevant teams to recommend improvements to standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manual software testing preferred.
  • Experience in automation testing is preferred, or a strong interest in programming and scripting for test automation.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, with experience in DB2 and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including JavaScript, JSON, and web services/APIs.
  • Experience testing web and mobile applications, including API testing.
  • Understanding of client/server and mobile computing environments is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of QA strategies, processes, and testing tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver projects effectively.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience working with new and legacy computing architectures and environments.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think from an end-user perspective.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Process-oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach to work.
