Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Preferably certified with ISTQB Foundation Level.
  • Knowledge and experience in preparing Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Specifications, and Test Cases.
  • Experience with configuration and requirements management tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS, Jira, SVN, Git, and Bitbucket.
  • Experience working in Linux environments at a basic to intermediate level.
  • Technical knowledge of communication protocols, preferably ARINC 664 and High-Speed Ethernet technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in establishing test environments for embedded software, creating requirement-based test cases, and executing low-level software verification activities.
  • Technical knowledge of communication interfaces and protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553B, and CAN Bus.
  • Good understanding of requirements management, verification, and validation processes.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Configuration Management teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of web application testing, API testing, and test automation technologies; experience with Playwright and JavaScript is preferred.
  • Preferably familiar with avionics discrete signals and aircraft interfaces (e.g., Airbus A321 and A350 platforms).
  • Preferably knowledgeable in DO-178 and DO-254 certification processes, qualification activities, airworthiness requirements, and Design Organization Approval (DOA) processes.
  • Preferably familiar with Systems Engineering principles and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
  • Preferably experienced in Satellite Communication (SATCOM) testing activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information and collaborate within international teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and report verification, validation, and testing activities for IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) and IFC (In-Flight Connectivity) R&D and product development projects.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret system-level design documents, software architecture documents, system requirements, and software requirements.
  • Prepare test plans, test procedures, and test processes for System Testing, Software Testing, and Acceptance Testing activities in accordance with project lifecycle requirements.
  • Analyze test scenarios based on impacted areas, actively manage test procedures, implement change management activities, and maintain test documentation up to date.
  • Execute periodic manual test runs through Xray and ensure proper test coverage and traceability.
  • Create, document, track, and manage defect reports and test findings.
  • Report defects and assess project risks from a testing and verification perspective.
  • Support and actively contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation infrastructure and frameworks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, project stakeholders, suppliers, and customers in an international environment.
