Job Title: Software Test Engineer

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Job Summary:
The Web Application Software Tester serves as a customer representative in analyzing, performing, and interpreting tests for web application products, systems, components, or modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in testing through a full development life-cycle including designing, developing and executing test plans and procedures. The successful candidate will develop test procedures (including developing of test cases that prove established requirements); execution of the procedures; and document the testing results (including test reports and entering issues in an issue tracking tool). The test engineer will perform these activities both independently and as part of a larger test team.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and validate software products in accordance with customer requirements and user needs.
Track testing metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts for caught versus released defects.
Perform final testing of releases and may perform other technical and documentation tasks
Interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.
Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
Solid knowledge/experience of the SDLC.
Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
Qualifications:
Past experience with or knowledge of records management systems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Detail-oriented and highly motivated self-starter that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members.
Experience with Java Script, SOATest, SOAP requests, Jira, Confluence, Technical Writing, and knowledge of CMMI.
