Software Test Engineer II – Electrophysiology Jobs in Waltham, MA at Boston Scientific Corporation

POSITION PURPOSE:

To ensure finished products meet customer and contractual specifications. Conducts all necessary quality tests required to meet product specifications set by the Paint Company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Monitor production line quality, collect and maintain necessary quality records of each production order.
Works closely with the Production and Technical Service Managers to ensure proper communications and adherence to all specifications of each order produced.
Collect, identify and maintain production run samples and warranty samples as required.
Conducts quality tests as specified in the specifications. Performs additional tests as directed by the Technical Service Manager.
Communicates with Production Manager and operators regarding required adjustments, packaging, etc. to improve and maintain quality specifications of the products.
Assists in the collection of test data and measurements of all special test run samples as required
Makes necessary decisions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformance material being produced and shipped.
Monitor calibration of measuring and test equipment, if any discrepancy will notify appropriate manager.
Enters all non-conformance materials (HFI) in the system and notifies Operations Manager and Technical Service Manager of any issues and/or problems.
Monitor process as per Spec System and notify Technical Service Manager of any changes for which a process change update is required.
Enters paint color standards in quality lab computer. Maintains sample paint color panels in proper order and condition in the filing cabinet. Maintains approved full width pool panels in proper roll number order.
Travel to Customers to perform testing.
Complies with and supports the Brightsmith LLC ISO reporting requirements.
Maintains the HFI Log Book.
Preforms the Pretreatment checks (coating weights).
Maintains all assigned logs and records.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs other duties which may be assigned or assumed as necessary.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 2 to 5 years in manufacturing and or quality control field.
Industrial Coating knowledge a plus.
Ability to organize work to effectively process all required information.
Strong ability to work with details and figures
Ability to communicate with all levels of the plant
Must possess strong follow-up and communication skills
Must possess good working knowledge of computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office, etc.)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and write in English.
