Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Software Tester to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing software applications, identifying defects, and ensuring products meet functional, performance, and quality standards before release. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver reliable and user-friendly software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and smoke testing
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before software releases
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback to improve product quality
- Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, and QA documentation
- Support continuous integration and continuous testing processes
- Ensure software meets quality standards, performance expectations, and user requirements
- Recommend improvements to testing processes, tools, and quality assurance practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla
- Knowledge of manual testing techniques and automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation and API testing tools such as Postman
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
- Experience testing web, mobile, or SaaS applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester are a plus
