Role Description The Software Tester at UNIPREP is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and documenting tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the platform’s features and services. This full-time remote role involves reviewing requirements and specifications, creating detailed test cases and test scripts, and performing functional, regression, and integration testing across web and mobile applications. The Software Tester will log defects, track their resolution, and collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to verify fixes and improve overall product quality. Day-to-day work includes analyzing test results, identifying root causes of issues, recommending improvements to processes and tools, and contributing to continuous enhancement of testing standards and quality assurance practices. The role also involves participating in team ceremonies, maintaining testing documentation, and helping to ensure a smooth release process.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Software Testing and Quality Assurance skills, with experience applying structured testing methodologies.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Test Execution skills, including the ability to run manual and automated tests and accurately report results.
- Candidates should possess the ability to design clear and comprehensive Test Cases aligned with product requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret test data, diagnose issues, and provide clear, evidence-based feedback.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with web and mobile application testing, including cross-browser and cross-device testing, is preferred.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is desirable.
