Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for day- to- day operation of the quality control inspection equipment to ensure the best quality product is delivered to a customer in a timely manner.
Terms:
Permanent, full time position.
Responsibilities:
Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), portable arms and laser trackers to effectively perform quality control inspections of the products
Ensure the product passes certification test or process inspection
Prepare reports, study documents and layouts
Travel to customer locations, if required
Keep the equipment calibrated and the work station clean and organized at all times
Perform inspections, while adhering to deadlines, as required
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Machining background (experience with mills, grinders, and precision instruments)
Ability to read a blueprints and GD&T interpretations
Ability to use Microsoft applications and learn new software
Previous experience in CMM, romer arm, Leica laser trackers is an asset
Knowledge/experience in Polyworks software is an asset
Ability and willingness to travel for business domestically and internationally
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
