Full Job Description
Primary Purpose:
Reviews analytical data and various laboratory documentation for accuracy and to ensure compliance with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory agency guidelines and client requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews data packets, folders and forms to ensure quality standards are met and to verify compliance with applicable SOP, client and regulatory requirements.
Learns and utilizes Watson, Analyst and other software for review of electronic data.
Responds to Quality Assurance (QA) audit report findings, as applicable.
Participates in pre-study and progress meetings, as needed.
Verifies accuracy of data tables and client data files.
Verifies all laboratory calculations .
Interacts internally with operational personnel, scientific personnel and departmental management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Business or related field with 0-2 years experience (internships count) -OR-Master’s Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Business or related Scientific field with 0 years of experience
Significant work experience will be considered as a substitution for education
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail.
Analytical and logical thinker.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office.
General knowledge of LIMS systems.
General knowledge of laboratory operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Mass spectrometry or HPLC experience.
Knowledge of Watson LIMS.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
General knowledge of current industry guidance and regulations.
