Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician / QMS Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our manufacturing processes meet the highest industry standards, and that our products comply with quality control protocols and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications and company standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) processes, including documentation, procedures, and corrective actions.
Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes and product quality to assess compliance with ISO 9001, industry standards, and customer specifications.
Identify, document, and report non-conformances, and work closely with production and engineering teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
Assist with supplier quality audits and manage supplier performance metrics.
Provide technical support and training to production teams on quality assurance procedures and standards.
Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, production, and logistics, to resolve quality-related issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Quality Management, Engineering, etc.) preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control, preferably in manufacturing (solar industry experience is a plus).
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
Experience with QMS documentation and audits.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with solar product manufacturing or renewable energy industries.
Familiarity with additional industry standards such as ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) or ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Use of quality tools such as SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and Root Cause Analysis.
