Overview

Position:
Supply Chain Quality Specialist (SCQS) – A220 Commercial Aircraft Programme, Mirabel, Québec, Canada. The role is part of the ABPIM team and works with engineering, method, buyer, and supply‑chain teams, as well as Airbus colleagues in Toulouse.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of part/site pair in terms of industrial qualification (update the qualified part list).
  • Provide feedback on suppliers’ industrial proposals during the call‑for‑tender phase.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with Airbus specialists (Design Office, Materials & Processes) for a given product family.
  • Manage industrial qualification and identify supplier industrial risks.
  • Eliminate non‑quality at the supplier level (coordinate dynamic containment, challenge root‑cause analysis, monitor corrective action effectiveness).
  • Manage technically complex quality issues end‑to‑end, including stakeholder management, executive presentations, and governance.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, skills, performance and contribute to their development.
  • Identify supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions.
  • Communicate progress to Airbus stakeholders on investigations and impact management in production and service (retrofit scenarios).
  • Coordinate containment with quality conformance teams.

Challenges

  • Manage supplier industrial qualification using APQP for Transfer of Work projects or New Part Introduction.
  • Eradicate non‑quality at supplier, coordinate end‑to‑end dynamic containment, challenge root‑cause analysis, and monitor effectiveness of corrective action.
  • Assess supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to supplier development.
  • Identify supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation.
  • Communicate to Airbus stakeholders on progress and manage impacts in production and service.
  • Ensure part/site compliance and maintain the updated qualified part list.
  • Provide feedback on supplier offers during Call for Tender.
  • Act as main contact with Airbus specialists for a given product family.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, supply chain, or quality.
  • Proven project‑management experience (team management is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of industrial and aerospace business activities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing suppliers.
  • Ability to connect with internal customers, listen, and create value.
  • Assertiveness toward suppliers, protecting client interests while being fair and collaborative.
  • Can‑do attitude, solution‑oriented, and team‑federalizing.
  • Negotiation‑level proficiency in English and French.

Travel requirements

Occasional travel within Canada and overseas; regular business travel is expected. On‑call duties during weekends and holidays may also be required.
