Job Overview:
Contract start within 10 days
We are hiring a Quality Control Manager to lead quality assurance, compliance verification, and performance tracking for the waterway debris removal project. This role requires daily on-site quality inspections, contractor oversight, and adherence to federal debris removal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the Quality Control (QC) Plan in compliance with contract requirements.
Ensure compliance with USACE standards, FEMA debris eligibility criteria, and environmental regulations.
Conduct daily quality control inspections and documentation.
Oversee and manage Contractor Quality Control (CQC) teams.
Monitor and enforce proper debris removal, sorting, and disposal procedures.
Identify non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
Provide daily QC reports to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Track and maintain records for debris load tickets, automated debris management systems (ADMS), and disposal site compliance.
Ensure compliance with permits, environmental regulations, and FEMA Category A debris removal guidelines.
Coordinate with field supervisors, safety managers, and environmental specialists to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
Control Quality Manager (CQM) Certificate
10+ years of experience in quality control, disaster recovery, or construction project management.
Experience working with USACE, FEMA, or similar federal disaster response projects.
Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1, FEMA debris removal guidelines, and automated debris management systems (ADMS).
Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must be available for on-site work in Ashe County, NC, with potential travel as needed.
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Construction Quality Manager (CQM-C) from USACE.
Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black Belt).
ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification.
