Quality Engineer I
New Bern, NC / Full-time
Your responsibilities
Accountable for the overall quality of assigned products & processes.
Monthly audits of the production facility (each PQE audits their product group)
Responsible for TCR of product group and identifying projects to reduce TCR
Working with Development to design out current TCR issues
Working with relevant departments to improve quality control effectiveness
Analysis of line returns to make improvements to the production process
Responding to production to help minimize line disruptions
Working with CSE to identify and understand Perceived Quality topics
Ensure products adhere to company and industry standards
Monitoring and analyzing quality performance
Solve problems and create workable solutions
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or Quality) – Required
0-2 Years of Experience (Experience in a labor-intensive manufacturing / assembly setting (less qualified individual)) – Required
3-5 Years of Experience (Experience in a labor-intensive manufacturing / assembly setting (highly qualified individual)) – Required
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and be prompt in meeting deadlines.
Working Knowledge of ISO, FMEA, and SPC.
Familiarity with all Microsoft products. Proficient in Excel, Access, Power BI, and SAP is desired.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills and be able to communicate with a wide spectrum of people from auditors to upper management.
Must be able to work well with people in other departments under difficult and sometimes stressful circumstances.
Knowledge of German language desirable.
Home Appliance industry preferred.
Your Pay & Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.
Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.
The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).
40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).
