Must Haves:

2+ years experience in inventory, production lifecycle, distribution, and operational procedures

Job Summary:

Buddha Jewelry is seeking a motivated individual to join our Production and Inventory team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring a consistent customer experience through the accuracy and timeliness of their work, have a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized. This position will provide a wide variety of support for the Production and Inventory Manager, but will largely be focused on ways to help build and maintain the bridge between the sample and production processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Compliance & Process Improvement: Support compliance initiatives and identify opportunities for improving production and quality processes for jewelry batches, including cataloging and logging gold, product labeling, and ensuring proper storage according to company protocols
Product Testing: Test product including gold testing and stone verification, working with testing equipment (gold testing, laser welder, etc.), liaising with third-party labs and vendors
Deep Product Knowledge and Continued Jewelry Education: Develop a deep understanding of the products, including materials, functionality, and care, to assist in product management and quality control, demonstrating willingness and excitement to become a product and gold expert
Sample Oversight and Management: Organize and maintain sample inventory, facilitating the transition from samples to bulk production or limited editions. Ensure jewelry samples are produced to precise design and quality specifications, while maintaining an organized sample library for internal and external use.
Quality Control, Inspection and Testing: Perform quality checks on samples and products, ensuring they meet company standards and customer expectations, address any material or design inconsistencies, and identify potential issues.
Production Liaison: Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth communication and transition from sample to final product, including creating production documents.
Sample Distribution & Tracking: Track the movement of samples across teams (design, marketing, production) and external stakeholders, ensuring timely availability for product launches, photoshoots, and presentations.
Inventory Support & Sample Cataloging: Assist with regular inventory counts, audit product bag tags, and ensure accurate product cataloging in databases (NetSuite, Shopify).
Database & Product Management: Manage and update product information in databases, ensuring accurate descriptions, naming conventions, and tags for both samples and production items.
Vendor Communication: Liaise with the production team and suppliers abroad to uphold quality standards and facilitate process improvements.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Inventory, Marketing, and Fulfillment teams to prepare products for launches and ensure all departments have the necessary information
Administrative Duties: Assist the Production Manager with administrative tasks and special projects, ensuring efficient workflow across teams.

Experience And Qualifications

2+ years experience in inventory, production lifecycle, distribution, and operational procedures
1+ years experience working hands-on with physical and systematic sample management (fine jewelry or body adornment experience is a big plus!)
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Meticulous self-starter with a high attention to detail and accuracy
Tech-savvy, proven competence with Inventory Management Systems a major plus! High level of proficiency with Excel and other information systems
Curiosity and willingness to learn

SALARY RANGE: $26.50 – $31.00

Pay: $26.50 – $31.00 per hour
