Job Summary:
Mainspring Manager, LLC, Mainspring Administration, LLC and MRSC one, LLC (collectively, “Mainspring”) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Quality Assurance & Chart Review Specialist. This position is responsible for ensuring that client records meet all applicable clinical, regulatory, and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance use disorder treatment, documentation review, and quality assurance processes. Licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, CADC, or equivalent) is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Review client charts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies, state and federal regulations (e.g., Medicaid/Medicare, HIPAA), and CARF accreditation standards.
Daily monitoring of client charts including continuous follow-up with staff to correct errors, complete documentation timely, and close open items.
Identify patterns of documentation deficiencies and work with clinical staff and leadership to implement corrective actions and training as needed.
Monitor and track quality assurance indicators and assist with performance improvement initiatives.
Maintain detailed audit logs and produce reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Assist with preparation for audits by external agencies or accrediting bodies.
Stay current with changes in regulatory and licensure requirements affecting documentation of SUD treatment services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, social work, nursing, public health, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify discrepancies in records.
Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred:
Active licensure or certification (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, CADC, or other relevant credential).
Experience working with Medicaid or other government-funded programs.
Familiarity with CARF accreditation standards.
2+ years of experience in substance use disorder treatment or quality assurance in a behavioral health setting.
Previous experience working with Kipu.
Working Conditions:
May require occasional travel to clinic sites.
Position may be eligible for hybrid or remote work based on organizational needs.
