This is a remote position.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior QA Engineer with expertise in Java automation code, load testing, and API Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications by designing and executing test cases, developing automated test scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and stability.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
Implement and maintain automated test scripts using Python-based automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework).
Conduct functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to improve software quality and development processes.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure QA best practices are followed.
Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.
Develop and execute SQL queries for database validation and integrity checks.
Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing in collaboration with DevOps teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and best practices for software quality assurance.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members.
Requirements
Essential Skills:
Job
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Proficiency in Java programming.
Extensive experience with Selenium for web application automation.
Hands-on experience with Cucumber for BDD.
Strong experience with API testing using Postman.
Experienced with load and performance testing using JMeter.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Experience with bug-tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with SQL databases.
