Sr. Quality Assurance Automation Engineer Jobs in Remote at OneSource Virtual
The Biological Process Development Facility (BPDF) is looking for a qualified team member to join our Quality Control group. This position will perform product release sample analysis per GMP requirements and routine analysis of samples including HPLC, ELISA, TOC, total protein assays, pH and conductivity, endotoxin testing, Western blotting, SDS-PAGE, potency/activity assays. Develop and optimize standard and more advanced tests including ELISA and cell-based assays. Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Perform technology transfer of client developed analytical test methods, and assay qualification testing. Write and review Standard Operating Procedures, complete laboratory documentation, write data summaries, and write reports when needed. Train technicians and student workers on routine test procedures and laboratory techniques.
Job Duties include:
Perform and troubleshoot testing per standard and client specific test methods that have been developed by the BPDF or transferred in from clients.
Optimize and follow the proper SOP describing test methodology.
Train QC staff and student workers on standard laboratory techniques and routine testing procedures when required.
Perform periodic calibration and/or validation of laboratory equipment.
Maintain accurate and concurrent documentation of all completed tasks.
Create SOPs when new tests are transferred/developed or new equipment/instrumentation are acquired.
Review and report writing for assay and equipment validation/qualification protocols when required.
The person hired for this position must be available to work flexible hours as required.
Candidates for this position must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee in order to work on projects subject to Export Control regulations.
The BPDF provides biopharmaceutical process development and biomanufacturing services that transition discoveries into early phase clinical trials. The BPDF produces a wide range of biologics- including vaccines, recombinant proteins gene therapies and other biotherapeutics – in partnership with government agencies, biotechnology companies, academic researchers, and non-profit organizations.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of GLP/GMP chemistry or microbiology laboratory utilizing automated methods, familiarly with general laboratory techniques and compendial methods; equivalent education/experience will be considered. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Work history should demonstrate that the scientist must have a good understanding of general laboratory equipment such as pH/conductivity meter, micropipetters, as well as specialized testing such as HPLC, ELISA, TOC, Endotoxin, Western blotting, SDS-PAGE and protein assays.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate may have experience with HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, 96-well plate methods.
Posted Salary $44,000/yr. minimum
