Sr. Quality Auditor Jobs in Grapevine, TX at Reconext
Job Purpose
Responsible to support in-house and customer plant quality concerns. Understanding of TMP-GA’s manufacturing characteristics, transmission function, and department equipment to support complex quality concerns and verification of changepoints.
Key Accountabilities
Technical lead for unit. Understand and manage mass production product changepoints and impact to department procedures and equipment. Develop special testing as required to support mass production changepoint verification, part deviation approval and analysis of quality concerns.
Department New Model lead – Understand New Model impact to department, customer plant and in-house quality. Coordinate with affected MP Representatives to ensure smooth transition from New Model to MP start – Change points, Testing, Quality Agreements, assembly/disassembly, function, etc. Train TQ Dept associates on all New Model change points and testing requirement/procedures. Ensure necessary jigs, fixtures, equipment, test modes are in place to support the New Model. Prepare and present New Model Evaluation documents to Department/Division/Zone Leaders.
Equipment lead for unit. Repair, maintenance, hardware/software, and training. Creation of test modes when necessary.
Statistical Analysis (Utilize data trends to help identify quality concerns & improvement items)
Weekly, Monthly Reporting/Communication
Support Department Business plan performance measurable and targets, forecast impact, monitor results & develop gap elimination plans to achieve Department goals
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent in related field
Required Experience
2-8 years’ experience working with quality controls in a manufacturing process
Decisions Expected
Deep rooted complex analysis of transmission concerns to determine if product is non-conforming or in spec per Honda drawings and engineering standards. Strong mechanical aptitude with past technical mfg, quality, or engineering experience.
Establishing solid activity with good communication and confirmation plan, to maximize the benefit of the change, while preventing negative impact to cost and quality.
Establishing a clear and robust plan for quality improvement activity and problem solving that needs coordination and collaboration between Quality and Manufacturing. Technical liaison between Manufacturing and Transmission Quality.
Working Conditions
Manufacturing environment
Occasional travel – Approx 1-2 trips average per year for complex issues and collaboration with Ohio.
5-10 hours of OT each week. OT support required as major quality concerns arise.
