Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting laboratory operations by assisting with various tasks related to data collection, quality control, and research activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and terminology, particularly in the context of molecular biology and veterinary practices.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and execution of laboratory experiments, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
Collect, record, and analyze data accurately while maintaining meticulous documentation.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Support quality control processes by conducting routine checks and calibrations on equipment and samples.
Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data entry and management.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve laboratory procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements
Familiarity with veterinary terminology is preferred.
Experience in data collection and analysis within a research laboratory setting.
Knowledge of molecular biology concepts and techniques is highly desirable.
Strong mathematical skills for accurate data interpretation and calculations.
Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
Understanding of quality control measures and GLP standards.
Ability to perform various laboratory techniques with precision and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
