Job Description: Quality Control Inspector
Hours: Full Time Monday – Friday, Hours 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Hourly Rate: TBD
Reports To: Quality Control Manager/Director of Operations
Summary/Objective: Perform inspections and tests on in-process and finished product as defined in procedures and work instructions to ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met throughout the manufacturing process. Generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports. Maintain and update in-house calibration on various hand inspection tools. Support engineering and manufacturing as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This job includes but is not limited to the following:
Self-starter, taking initiative without direction.
Dedicated to Department & Company objectives.
Knowledge of geometric tolerance, dimensioning & parts inspection.
Inspect and record all parts at specified frequencies, with specified lot size, in accordance with approved Quality Control procedures with calibrated gauges and measuring devices.
Ensure all suspect parts have been properly tagged and sent to designated holding area.
Capable and willing to work overtime on an as needed basis.
Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company.
Has the authority and responsibility for controlling quality as delegated by management.
Qualifications:
Has high school diploma or GED is required
Associates Degree or Vocational/Technical education is a plus
3 years of equivalent work experience
Previous background in CNC Machining or CMM Operations (MCOSMOS)
Ability to interpret blueprint/drawings
Knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
Calipers & measurement gauges
Optical comparator

Attention to detail & problem-solving skills
Able to multitask
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
