Role Summary
As a Nighttime Quality Assurance Specialist, you are the guardian of quality. Your mission is to conduct meticulous tests and inspections across various stages of production, ensuring that every product aligns with Oakhouse Bakery’s rigorous standards. You will collaborate with diverse teams to mitigate and resolve any challenges in maintaining our outstanding product integrity.
Your Reporting Line
Your expertise will be guided by the Regulatory Compliance Coordinator.
Working Hours
Your shift will be from 10pm to 8am, where you will uphold the integrity of our operations under the night sky.
No Direct Reports
This role does not involve managerial responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities
Safety Advocacy: Be the torchbearer of a safe working environment, prioritizing employee welfare.
Policy Implementation: Uphold and advocate for the bakery’s food safety and GMP protocols.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure quality standards.
Analytical Proficiency: Execute laboratory tests on materials and products, safeguarding compliance.
Program Stewardship: Support food safety and regulatory programs, including Gluten-Free and Organic initiatives.
Inspection Conductor: Perform regular inspections to identify non-conformances and improvement opportunities.
Label Accuracy: Verify and manage product label precision and compliance.
Chemical Safety: Monitor sanitation chemicals, ensuring they meet safety thresholds.
Equipment Accuracy: Calibrate lab equipment to maintain quality consistency.
Procedural Verifications: Conduct inline process checks and adjustments to maintain standards.
Validation of Cleanliness: Conduct swab tests to ensure sanitation efficacy.
Ingredient Verification: Ensure ingredients meet high standards.
Additional Contributions: Embrace a variety of tasks that support team success.
Qualifications Required
Educational Background: High school diploma mandatory; degrees in scientific fields are favorable.
Industry Experience: Experience in food manufacturing with a focus on quality assurance is preferred.
Communication Skills: Superb communication, ideally bilingual in Spanish and English.
Work Ethic: Keen to self-manage, displaying a robust work ethic.
Team Player: Ability to work independently yet integrate seamlessly into a team with keen attention to detail.
