Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Automation Testing professional to provide technical and delivery leadership for automation initiatives across Digital Banking applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Web, Mobile, and API test automation, strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, Playwright, Appium, and AI-powered testing solutions. This role will drive automation strategy, establish engineering best practices, oversee delivery quality, mentor high-performing teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure successful execution of automation programs in an Agile environment.
Job Responsibilties
- Own and drive enterprise-wide automation testing initiatives across Web, Mobile, API, and Digital Banking applications.
- Define and execute the automation roadmap aligned with business objectives and engineering standards.
- Architect, design, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks using Playwright and industry best practices.
- Establish automation governance, coding standards, framework architecture, quality metrics, and engineering best practices across teams.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to automation engineers while fostering continuous learning and engineering excellence.
- Review solution designs, automation frameworks, and code to ensure maintainability, scalability, and quality.
- Oversee the development and execution of automated functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, end-to-end, and API test suites.
- Lead automation of REST APIs using Playwright API, Rest Assured, Postman, or similar technologies.
- Drive mobile automation strategy and framework development using Appium for Android and iOS platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, DevOps, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Ensure seamless integration of automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Monitor automation effectiveness through KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify automation opportunities, optimize execution efficiency, reduce maintenance overhead, and improve overall test coverage.
- Drive root cause analysis of automation failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to banking security standards, regulatory compliance, audit requirements, and quality governance.
- Support estimation, planning, resource coordination, risk identification, and delivery tracking for automation initiatives.
- Champion the adoption of AI-powered testing practices to improve productivity, quality, and delivery efficiency.
Required Skills:
- 10–14 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation with strong experience leading large-scale automation initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
- Proven experience driving automation strategy, framework architecture, engineering governance, and delivery excellence.
- Strong hands-on experience in leveraging Generative AI to accelerate software testing and automation throughout the SDLC.
- Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Appium for Web, Mobile, and Cross-browser automation.
- Strong experience in API automation using Playwright API, Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with Web, Mobile (Android/iOS), API, and Microservices testing.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JSON, XML, OAuth2, JWT, API Gateway, and Microservices architecture.
- Experience implementing BDD/TDD frameworks using Cucumber or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC/STLC, Git, SQL, and defect management tools such as Jira.
- Experience using AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, KIRO) for test case generation, automation development, code optimization, and defect analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Banking/Financial Services (BFSI) applications, secure transaction workflows, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, BrowserStack/LambdaTest.
- Knowledge of Performance Testing (JMeter), Security Testing, Accessibility Testing, and Visual Regression Testing.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good to have experience testing Digital Banking, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Payments, Loans, Cards, and Customer Management applications.
- Good to have Knowledge of Banking APIs, transaction processing, KYC/AML workflows, and financial regulatory compliance.
- Good to have experience validating secure financial transactions and end-to-end banking business processes.
Total Experience Expected: 08-11 years
