Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented full-time Inspector for our 2nd shift to ensure the quality and conformance of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. The Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards by approving or rejecting materials based on specifications, communicating with relevant personnel, and ensuring proper documentation.Key Responsibilities:
Approve or reject incoming materials based on conformance to specifications.
Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding the return of unacceptable materials.
Approve in-process production by confirming specifications.
Communicate with machinists if features do not conform to specifications on prints.
Approve finished products by confirming specifications.
Consult with Project Managers regarding any problems with specifications of finished products.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Ensure documentation is complete and meets customer requirements, including proper storage of files in the computer system.
Approve parts for shipment to customers by completing the final operation on job travelers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Capable of lifting at least 20 lbs.
Support the company’s quality policy through compliance with quality management system requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required; Associate/Technical/Bachelor degree preferred.
Two years of Quality Control experience preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Proficient math skills.
Thorough and working knowledge of measurement instruments.
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Willingness to work extra hours when needed.
