Role Description
Are you a confident communicator with a passion for helping people take the next step in their education? As a Student Counsellor, you will be the first point of contact for prospective students enquiring about our courses and services. Your primary responsibility is to guide, support, and convert genuine enquiries into enrolments – building trust with every single person you speak to.
This role is not just about answering questions. It is about understanding a prospective student's situation, addressing their concerns professionally, and walking them through the process with clarity and confidence.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Contact and follow up with prospective students via WhatsApp and phone calls in a timely, professional manner – response time is critical in this role.
- Build and maintain genuine relationships with prospects through consistent, structured follow-up sequences across WhatsApp and phone.
- Record every interaction, update, and outcome accurately and promptly in the shared CRM system – no exceptions.
- Prepare and use professional communication scripts for both WhatsApp messages and phone conversations, tailored to each prospect's situation.
- Send a clear, concise daily WhatsApp update to your line manager at the end of every working day covering activities completed, outcomes, and any follow-ups required.
- Participate in a weekly one-on-one performance review every Friday via Google Meet – covering targets, achievements, challenges, and pipeline status.
- Work within a structured weekly and monthly lead pipeline & managing your own time and priorities independently.
- Proactively flag any blockers, challenges, or process improvements to your manager
- Assist in refining and improving the WhatsApp follow-up sequence in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Stay up to date with course information, Student Finance eligibility, and the overall application process so you can answer confidently
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Student Counseling and Career Counseling to guide learners toward appropriate academic and career paths.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with diverse students and provide a supportive experience.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Education systems, preferably with familiarity with UK higher education programs and admission pathways.
- Relevant educational background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a structured, target-driven environment while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency in using digital tools and online communication platforms.
- Fluency in English and Bangla, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and accurately.
- Prior experience in student advisory services, international education consulting, or related roles is an advantage.
Who We Are Looking For
- Fluent in English: both written and spoken (C1 or C2 level preferred)
- Strong communicator – warm, professional, and persuasive on both WhatsApp and phone
- Highly organized – you keep your pipeline clean, your CRM updated, and your manager informed without being chased
- Self-motivated and disciplined, this is a remote role and requires someone who manages their own time responsibly
- Experience in customer service, client relations, BPO, tele-calling, or student counselling is a strong advantage
- Comfortable working UK hours – Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM UK time (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Bangladesh time)
- Proficient in Google Sheets, WhatsApp Business, and basic CRM tools
- Prior experience in the education sector or student recruitment is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided
Salary
BDT 12,000 – 16,000 (Per Month)
