AT A GLANCE
The Strategic Sourcing & Development Associate supports the end-to-end sourcing and product development process for Eyewear. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help ensure timely, cost effective, and high-quality product delivery, from initial samples to production handover. This role combines operational coordination with a strong eye for detail and product quality.
YOUR OVERALL MISSION & DAY-TO-DAY
Sourcing & Vendor Coordination
▪ Assist in identifying and evaluating new suppliers, raw materials, and components for eyewear production (frames, lenses, cases, etc.)
▪ Coordinate vendor communications to support product sampling, quotations, and lead-time requirements
▪ Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and compliance metrics
▪ Work with Quality Assurance to ensure vendor alignment with technical standards and testing protocols
Product Development Support
- Coordinate sample development across multiple suppliers and ensure timely sample delivery for design and merchandising reviews
- Track development timelines and flag delays or risks to cross-functional teams
- Work closely with the Product Development, Design, and Merch teams to translate creative concepts into viable product executions
- Maintain development records and technical specification files for each product
Costing & Analysis
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing product cost data from multiple vendors
- Prepare comparative cost breakdowns and support negotiation efforts for competitive pricing
- Ensure target costing is met while maintaining quality standards and design intent
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams including Merchandising, Planning, Logistics, and Retail to align on seasonal timelines, product launches, and inventory needs
- Support the production handover process and ensure a smooth transition from development to bulk manufacturing
YOUR TALENT
▪ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Design, or related field
▪ 1–3 years of experience in sourcing, product development, or supply chain (experience in fashion, retail,
or consumer goods is a plus)
▪ Strong organizational and project management skills
▪ Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities
▪ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (experience with PLM systems a plus)
▪ Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
▪ Interest in fashion and an eye for product detail—knowledge of eyewear construction is a bonus
