Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components, parts, and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Utilize precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions to understand product requirements.
Identify and document any defects or deviations from standards, including recording data and generating reports.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, suggesting adjustments to improve quality and efficiency.
Conduct root cause analysis and work on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of defects.
Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control systems, procedures, and documentation.
Perform audits on processes and products to verify consistency and adherence to quality standards.
Support calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records, logs, and documentation.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum of [X] years of experience in quality control, specifically in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and interpreting mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and Lean manufacturing principles.
