Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Assistant I with a strong background in Chemistry or Life Sciences to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience, including proficiency with HPLC and GC, and a proven track record preparing and analyzing a wide range of product types, including OTC drugs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and botanicals.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare samples of OTC drugs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and botanical products in accordance with established laboratory methods and standard operating procedures.
Conduct assays and chemical analyses following validated methodologies.
Operate a variety of analytical laboratory instruments, including:
HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography)
GC (Gas Chromatography)
IR (Infrared Spectroscopy)
UV (Ultraviolet Spectroscopy)
Dissolution Testing Equipment
Viscometers
Melting Point Apparatus
Other standard lab instrumentation as needed.
Accurately document and report analytical results for review and Quality Assurance.
Follow established Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and adhere to lab safety protocols at all times.
Assist in the routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
Maintain adequate stock of reagents, standards, and consumables required for testing.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience, ideally in an analytical, quality control, or R&D setting.
Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting HPLC and GC systems.
Demonstrated ability to run validated methods for routine chemical analyses on various laboratory instruments.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Previous work in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or cosmetics.
Familiarity with cGMP, FDA, or ISO requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
