Job Summary: The Quality Engineer Technician will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This position involves inspecting products, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

Inspection and Testing:
Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products using various tools and equipment.
Conduct routine and non-routine tests to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
Document and analyze test results, identifying any deviations from standards.
Quality Control:
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
Participate in internal audits and support external audits as needed.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare detailed reports on inspection and test results, quality issues, and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality assurance activities.
Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to identify root causes of quality issues and develop corrective actions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
Provide support in the development and maintenance of quality documentation, such as process flowcharts, FMEAs, and control plans.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with the latest quality control methodologies and best practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School diploma or GED.
2 or more years of experience in quality assurance or quality control function.
Relevant work experience in the HVAC or other technical industry preferred, but not required.
Completion of an HVAC or program or other technical degree preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read gauges, blueprints and electrical diagrams preferred, but not required.
Strong computer aptitude, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook and Quality specific software.
Demonstrates a high-level of problem-solving ability.
