Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Computer Test Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining testing strategies to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our computer systems and related software. Your work will be critical in ensuring our products meet rigorous standards before release.
Responsibilities
Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements
Conduct hardware and software testing, including functional, regression, performance, and stress testing
Troubleshoot and identify root causes of test failures
Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure quality goals are met
Maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, results, and defect reports
Develop automated test scripts and tools to improve test coverage and efficiency
Validate BIOS, drivers, firmware, and system configurations across different platforms
Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, trends, and best practices
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
2+ years of experience in a computer systems or utilizing software utilities for system testing
Strong understanding of test methodologies and tools
Experience with automated testing frameworks
Familiarity with hardware components and system integration
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
