Job Summary:
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II to support contract manufacturing and supplier quality operations within a highly regulated medical device environment focused on advanced robotic surgical technologies. This role will be responsible for managing supplier quality activities, driving process improvements, supporting validations, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support Supplier Change Requests (SCR), PPAP, Validation, TMV, SCAPA, and QMS activities
• Work closely with contract manufacturers and suppliers to develop and maintain quality assurance systems and processes
• Develop and review Quality Plans, Control Plans, FMEAs, and supplier documentation
• Ensure supplier compliance with ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, GMP, and internal quality standards
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective/preventive actions when required
• Support supplier audits, qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
• Resolve supplier-related quality issues throughout the manufacturing lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Scientific, Electronic, or related technical field
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant Supplier Quality Engineering experience
• Strong experience with medical device or regulated manufacturing environments
• Hands-on knowledge of SCR, PPAP, Validation, SCAPA, TMV, FMEA, and Control Plans
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 requirements
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and supplier management skills
Preferred Experience:
• Experience supporting contract manufacturers within the medical device industry
• Robotics or surgical technologies experience is a plus
Work Schedule:
• 40 hours/week
• Onsite role in North Haven, CT
