Job Summary:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting all quality functions in India, including supplier audits, quality
problem resolution
, and engineering support for projects. You will work closely with our US quality team, India sourcing teams, and suppliers to ensure products meet engineering and quality specifications.
Essential Functions:
Regular travel to supplier sites to support and conduct supplier product audits (Source Audits) using
quality control
documents (QCP) ensuring products produced meet engineering and quality specifications prior to shipment.
Collaborate with US quality team and India sourcing teams to identify and perform supplier qualification.
Utilizes QCP and PMP process knowledge to train suppliers on its use in the supplier’s operations.
Works effectively with suppliers to comply with Supplier Requirements and develop their performance rating.
Conduct PPAP preliminary approvals and support the virtual PPAP process with US and India offices as needed.
Support engineering and sourcing requests to ensure project success at the supplier.
Perform investigations generated from CCAR’s (customer complaints) and general quality concerns.
Performance Measures:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time, 9-6 M-F (international calls as required outside normal hours).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline required.
ASQ or equivalent Quality certification desired.
Experience in manufacturing of metal, plastics, and wood products.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Skills:
Strong command of English language, both written and verbal.
