Job Function
Reporting into the Site Manager, the Quality Manager will be based out of Cleveland, Ohioi USAand will be responsible for the development, management, and effective implementation of the site’s IATF 16949:2016 quality management system. This includes evaluation of processes, procedures, and applications which contribute to the site objectives and maintain an effective quality program including continual improvement, standardized reporting, quality assurance and control, reliability, and product/process/supply base quality improvement. The position is responsible for managing, developing, and coaching the Quality team and should be capable of training quality concepts and driving the execution of world class quality across the organization.
Responsibilities
· Safety first. Views safety as a core value. Identifies, reports, & resolves safety hazards as part of the site leadership team. Observes safety policies, complies with safety procedures and work instructions, maintains safety awareness, and maintains housekeeping expectations, in accordance with company protocol.
· Quality Always. Assures adherence to quality procedures and work instructions. Assists in proper investigation, root cause analysis, development, and implementation of corrective actions for any potential non-conformance or incident.
· Design and implement long-term progressive Quality strategies and objectives that support the company’s Vision, Mission, Values, and long-term objectives.
· Drive quality through the complete product life cycle from new product conception through delivery and support, including material review board (MRB) and management of change (MOC) responsibilities.
· Identify needs and develop, implement, and administer appropriate policies, procedures, and workflow in accordance with industry standards, world class quality methodologies, and company strategies.
· Ensure quality programs meet or exceed customer, legal, and relevant regulatory requirements and expectations in accordance with IATF 16949:2016 and including D/PFMEA, GR&R, Manufacturing Control Plans (MCP), and Value Stream Map (VSM) methodology where appropriate.
· Communicate effectively and work cross functionally with suppliers, customers, commercial, research and development, engineering, purchasing, operations, logistics, technical service, and other functions across the organization as required.
· Manage, develop, and coach the Quality Assurance/Control team with goal driven direction, training, and monitoring of performance metrics to continually improve standards and foster teamwork.
Required Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or other related field with 5 + years’ experience in a quality role in laboratory or industrial manufacturing environment.
· 3 + years working in chemical manufacturing environment.
· 3 + years supervisory/management experience.
· Lean training and experience a plus.
· Six Sigma Green Belt certification; Black Belt.
· Proven track record of identifying, creating and implementing sustainable quality processes that yielded positive results.
· Experience with change management and site-wide communications plans.
· Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, root cause analysis, statistical analysis, process improvement methodologies, and quality assurance and control concepts and systems.
· Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
· Excellent people leadership skills with a proven ability to develop individuals and teams.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
