Scope of Job: The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for Implementing company and regulatory quality standards for product manufacturing. Knowledge of industry and governmental quality regulations. Audits and reviews quality data according to existing
procedures. Documents results in required format. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist in document control program including maintaining and revising Quality Systems programs
Investigate quality defects to determine root cause, assist in implementing corrective and preventative action.
Maintain register of all foreign object bodies found, to enable comprehensive trend analysis.
Participate in FOB reduction initiatives.
Collaborate with QA and Procurement to facilitate supplier investigations regarding foreign object bodies.
Perform defect trend analysis and report results to leadership team.
Monitor and lead employees to ensure proper policy and procedures are being followed.
Contribute to training material.
Facilitate timely disposition of affected products.
Investigate, track, and trend customer complaints in a timely manner and provide reports.
Review production, quality monitoring and other associated records to assure compliance to standards and identify noncompliance.
Assist in the environmental monitoring and cleaning validation programs.
Conduct receipt inspection of incoming goods as needed
Perform sensory evaluations of raw material and finished goods
This position is the dedicated back up to the QA Record Reviewer, positive release process, and receipt inspection.
Other duties, as assigned.
Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in Quality Assurance required. Prior Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
