Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise in quality assurance, quality control, and quality management will be crucial in maintaining our commitment to excellence.
PURPOSE: To perform activities and maintain documentation that supports the APQP and PPAP processes for Customer-related projects and products.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
B.S. in Engineering or related discipline preferred
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Computer literate
SolidWorks/Draft Site literate
Ability to become literate in Infor Syteline (ERP).
Ability to understand prints, including dimensions and tolerances, GD&T.
Ability to use various dimensional measurement devices (caliper, height gauges, Micro Vu)
Good project management skills, set priorities, be initiative-taking in work requirements.
Basic familiarity with ISO 9001 Standard
Effective communication, written, and oral skills.
Good organizational skills
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Ability to multi-task
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform part inspections. Document Initial Sample Inspection Reports, Process Capability Studies, and other documents and activities as required as part of PPAP.
2. Update BOMs in Syteline to support the APQP process via the Validation form, Cost Estimate form, or Change Notice process as applicable.
3. Initiate all Control Plans under the APQP process. This includes Extrusion, Molding, Finishing/Assembly, and Incoming requirements. Distribute to appropriate personnel as needed.
4. Update/revise Control Plans per customer requirements/internal changes via the change notice process and/or the Validation process.
5. Assist in creating and maintaining contents of digital part files.
6. Attend new product kick off and closing meetings as applicable.
7. Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members.
8. Create Process Work Instructions as necessary to support Engineering, Receiving Quality, or Manufacturing.
9. Support Quality System requirements, applicable to Quality and Engineering.
10. Execute the Change Notice process as applicable.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
– Proven experience in quality engineering or a similar role
– Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and techniques
– Proficiency in analyzing data and using statistical tools for quality control purposes
– Experience with project management methodologies
– Ability to fabricate and interpret technical drawings and specifications
– Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
