OVERVIEW
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing quality inspection processes and working alongside staff performing Quality Control functions for incoming components, finished goods and production finished goods to ensure that Quality Standards are both set and met. Identifies out-of-specification materials. Writes and follows up on non-conformance reports to complete containment and corrective actions both internally and with customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Verify the assembly process along with all of the paperwork which includes in process and final. Recommend adjustments to the assembly/production process.
Maintains quality standards by approving in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results. Inspects output samples by comparing to standards and measuring dimensions. Verify and ensures labels, packaging, and finished products meet company and regulatory requirements and communicating required adjustments to supervisors.
Performs root cause analysis and corrective action techniques to improve the process for quality related issues.
Conducts GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and line audits.
Able to understand and follow manufacturing and engineering documentation, i.e. Bill of Materials, work order instructions, etc.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; inputting data into quality database.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Perform activities related to receipt, storage, inspection, and issuance of labeling inventory. Approves and rejects incoming inventory.
Returning products for re-work and confirming re-work.
Assure compliance with all company and local, state and federal regulatory agencies’ (i.e., OSHA and FDA) policies and regulations.
Regularly interact and communicate with various internal departments to provide vital information that may be necessary to meet business demands.
Suggest efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assist with the implementation of changes within the facility.
Responsible for assisting in compiling and reporting on Vendor performance statistics.
Other duties as assigned as necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Minimum of five years of related Quality Control and Management Experience.
Background in Health and Beauty environment.
Production/Warehouse experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to navigate and use internet and other programs such as MS Office.
Data entry skills and computer experience.
Ability to learn quickly and a willingness to ask appropriate questions as needed.
Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently is required.
Strong work ethic and flexibility to work OT as needed.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Associates of the organization.
Strong organization skills and multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times.
Exceptional verbal and written communication.
The ability to create and maintain positive relationships with both external customers and internal departments.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday during regular business hours. This position may require long hours and some weekend work as necessary to meet the business obligations.

This role also requires the ability to lift items, bend, or stand as necessary.

The environmental characteristic for this position is a warehouse/manufacturing setting. Candidates should be able to life and carry up to 50 lbs. and comply with OSHA standards.
