Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that Program complies with the responsibilities set forth in the Healthy Start Standards & Guidelines chapter 4 and the contract’s scope of services. Responsible for leading the quality and compliance efforts for the program unit to ensure a quality system from referrals to intake completion and linkage to the most appropriate home visitation and/or wraparound services. This position collaborates closely with the Program Director to monitor the quality of processes and documentation. The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures the Program’s staff receives adequate training and technical guidance to maintain compliance with funder requirements and performs successfully to meet goals and expectations. 18-22K clients will come through CI&R annually.

Duties

Maintain a strong working knowledge of the program processes, responsibilities, local policies and procedures, and Florida Healthy Start Standards and Guidelines.
Performing quality assurance of intake completion, documentation, and activities. This includes reviewing the intake documentation for accuracy and consistency to assure contract compliance.
Monitor the intake closure process
Monitor the Interconceptional care counseling (ICC) process and goal compliance
Prepare monthly case review reports for staff supervision
Continuously assess staff’s ability to manage their time appropriately and provide strategies to maximize processes and services to clients.
Develop, implement, and evaluate performance indicators, tools, outcome measures, and appropriate methods for goal achievement.
Works collaboratively with the Connect director to enhance training opportunities for the Connect staff.
Assist with the development of processes for maintaining and analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness and efficiency
Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Florida’s Healthy Start Standards and Guidelines Chapter 4, Well Family System (WFS), and community resources.
Develop reports to highlight successes and opportunities to improve interventions, display activities, identify gaps in service, and other relevant information.
Review and monitor program data reports and analyze the Coalition and providers’ productivity and compliance with state and local performance indicators.
Assure that CIR subcontracted providers comply with the responsibilities outlined in Florida’s Healthy Start Standards & Guidelines Chapter 4, local policies and procedures, and their contract with the Coalition.
Assist in developing the monthly staff meeting agenda, co-facilitate the agenda as needed, and summarize meetings in writing.
Respond to inquiries and requests to provide technical assistance to sub-contracted providers regarding Connect services.
Review and anticipate training needs for subcontracted providers and internal staff and assure coordination.

Skills

Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the internet
The ability to be flexible concerning work location and schedule, occasionally including evenings or weekends outside of regular business hours, based on business needs.
Ability to utilize State database to extract data on screening rates
Knowledge of legislation, HIPAA, State, County, and DCF regulations applicable to the organization.
Good interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of community resources
Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices.
Ability to conduct effective quality audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on collaboration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health administration, business administration, social services, or related field. Human services, social sciences, social work, health education, health planning, healthcare administration, or related field.
Knowledge of the Well Family System preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year
