Since 1979, Butler Parachutes has been a global leading manufacturer in the Parachute Industry. As a growing business, we are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team of quality professionals. In this role, you will support our team in providing the highest level of product satisfaction to our expanding customer base. As a member of the Butler Parachutes team, you will enjoy a 4-day work week Monday-Thursday.
Summary
The Quality Control Inspector inspects products at various stages in the production process and is responsible for ensuring quality standards are maintained and implemented to ensure conformance to specification. This position will also work closely with production areas to develop and provide support to team members during daily operations to leverage collaboration and innovation in order to produce the right quality product to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Understand, interpret and implement basic quality assurance tools and standards
Inspection of various components utilizing a variety of precision measuring instruments
Interpret blueprints, data, manuals, drawings and other customer related inspection criteria to determine specifications, inspection procedures, and measuring instruments required
Document inspected results by completing inspection reports and logs
Identify nonconformance’s and opportunities for improvement
Support on-site audits conducted by internal and external providers
Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 a plus
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management

Self-motivated with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage changing priorities
Ability to demonstrate understanding of measurement techniques and equipment
Ability to communicate calmly, efficiently, and effectively
Ability to pay close attention to detail, work under pressure with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines
Ability to regularly stand or sit for up to 10 hours
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
Understanding and familiarity of basic sewing techniques and terms a plus
Education and Experience
High school or equivalent (Required)
Quality inspection: 2 years (Required)
Manufacturing environment: 2 years (Preferred)
