Stone Ridge Contracting on behalf of Itafos Conda Phosphate Operations (CPO) currently has several opportunities to join a lab team performing sample analysis for a large-scale phosphate exploration drilling project near Soda Springs, Idaho. Lab Techs will be responsible for sample analysis from mid-June 2025 potentially through October 2025. Successful applicants will work closely with other sample technicians, lab personnel, and project managers.
Schedule: Seasonal, Full Time, 4 on 4 off, 10–12-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities:
– Promote a safe and productive working environment
– Attend pre-job training and orientation
– Work closely with technical staff and project managers to execute work on analysis projects
– Ensure sample organization and integrity to provide the highest sample analysis quality
– Receive samples from project site, while strictly adhering to chain of custody
– Follow all Standard Operating Procedures while working in lab.
– Use lab equipment to perform sample analysis
– Enter sample analysis results into a database
– Provide pass along information to rotating shifts
Position Requirements:
– Must be a safety-oriented individual and adhere to all company safety requirements
– Strict attention to detail to ensure a very high level of quality control for sample processing
– Ability to work full time (~40 hours/week)
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
– Ability to stand for long periods of time on hard or uneven surfaces
– Good written and verbal communication skills essential
– Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel
– Previous related internship or other experience a plus
These positions will be located at the Itafos CPO Plant. Technicians will be expected to drive to the Plant’s lab.
This position is subject to a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
