The Quality Inspector Inspects purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements within an electronic manufacturing environment. Inspects for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers. Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. Verifies specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists. Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods.?

Conduct incoming visual inspection on materials with respect to correct identification, verification of condition, identification of defects, accuracy of engineering specifications and applicable customer requirements.
Review all supplied documentation for material acceptance per engineering requirements.
Provide feedback to engineers and buyers regarding inspection data.
Document, track, and complete discrepancy reports.
Support continuous improvement processes/initiatives within areas of responsibility.
Maintain traceability and document control for inspection records.
Demonstrate a commitment to achieving organizational quality goals and objectives.
Demonstrate good material handling practices.
Utilization of computers for a wide variety of material processing activities within area of responsibility.
Assisting the Quality Manager/Quality Team with initiatives and assignments as needed
Maintain positive team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers.

PC, printer, and scanner
Microscopes or other magnifying devices
Measuring equipment (calipers, gauges, micrometers)
Mirrors, tweezers and other various hand tools
Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifications – Minimum

Read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to read engineering drawings
Ability to use measurement tools and calibration equipment
Multi-tasking abilities
Experience working with small parts and good manual dexterity
Understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to learn other database systems

Qualifications – Preferred

2 + years of experience in a Quality Inspection role
1 + years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing
1 + years of experience working with LEAN processes and practices.
1+ years of experience with ISO (AS9100, ISO13485, etc.) requirements.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.
