Purpose Statement:

The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the infrastructure operations and service delivery of the IT function in the organization, ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of all technical services and systems. This leadership role involves managing network, systems, and cloud infrastructure, as well as IT services and technical support teams, while collaborating across departments to optimize processes, enhance performance, manage technical projects, handle customer and vendor relationships, and drive strategic initiatives.

Accountabilities:

Lead and manage the technical operations team, including IT, systems operations, network operations, and technical support.

Develop and execute a technical operations strategy aligned with business goals and growth objectives.

Drive operational excellence by establishing KPIs and ensuring technical services and systems’ efficiency, scalability, and security.

Collaborate with senior leadership to adopt new technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Oversee ITS infrastructure planning, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Ensure the uptime and reliability of OSS/BSS systems, platforms, and network devices by promptly implementing preventive measures and resolving technical issues.

Establish IT service management processes (incident, change, problem management) for smooth operations.

Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize disruptions.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements related to infrastructure and data protection.

Lead and mentor a diverse technical team, fostering a collaborative culture encouraging innovation and problem-solving.

Technical Knowledge & Experience:

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in technical operations, IT service management, or systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role.

Knowledge of ITIL, Incident, change and problem management.

Knowledge of license management, maintenance contracts & renewals.

Hands-on Knowledge of Infrastructure, networks and systems.

Knowledge of emerging trends in relevant technology domains.

Strong knowledge of best practices and methodologies for audit and quality assurance.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field.
