Our Challenge:

Technical Release Manager is responsible for defining the technical release, planning, coordinating, managing, communicating and delivery of application releases.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Chandler, AZ is $110K- 115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Release Manager is responsible for aligning Business requests, Enterprise technical direction, and priorities to define application releases that meet organizational goals.
  • The Release Manager is the owner of all end-to-end activities and artifacts in the SDLC and the key communicator between all members of the team (Business Process Owners, Business Annalists, Quality Assurance Teams, Project Management Office, Infrastructure Platform Services, Production Support teams, and others).
  • Lead the successful delivery of releases from the planning phase all the way to Production implementation and monitoring. In addition, this individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to monitor release status, identify and remediate issues, validate completion of all release activity, and escalate risks and issues as required.

The Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have experience managing software releases and experience as an agile scrum master would be beneficial.
  • Experience with ITSM Remedy and ServiceNow
  • Experience in/ as scrum master, release manager, program manager, Portfolio manager
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Application Risk Management experience
  • Proven success and accountability in leading and managing large scale application delivery
  • Extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
  • The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and subject matter experts within all levels of the company
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and management of metrics to measure and improve the quality of the releases
  • Strong Leadership Skills to drive teams towards successful delivery of release plans and that motivates team to achieve and maintain quality in a creative and effective manner

Desired Skills:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Foundation certification
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Agilist (SA)
  • Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) certification
  • Agile Scrum knowledge or certification beneficial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Workspace applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, and Teams
