Quality Technician Position Overview
The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Quality Technician will take ownership of carrying out the company’s quality processes.
Quality Technician Essential Functions
Carry out and refine existing quality control process.
Maintain standards for ISO9001:2015 certification.
Maintain inspection records database.
Program and operate Keyence XM-5000 CMM.
Program and operate Keyence IM-8000 Vision Inspection Machine.
Use other inspection equipment such as height gages, comparator, thread gages, pin gages, radius gages, etc.
Coordination and performance of internal process/product audits.
Manage inspection equipment calibration process.
Other shop tasks as needed.
Quality Technician Required Experience
Proven experience as a quality tech or similar role.
GD&T knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external.
Ability to assist machinists to troubleshoot manufacturing process to fix nonconformances.
Basic knowledge of all types of tooling and gauges.
Ability to read micrometers, telescoping gauges, calipers, comparator, indicators, etc.
Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality.
Computer skills.
Basic Math skills.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Quality Technician Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position requires you to be onsite daily.
This position is split between an office and a shop environment.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working at the CMM or on a computer.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
