Darigold is seeking a Temporary Laboratory Technician to join our Caldwell team. The role involves ensuring all products’ analytical, micro, and organoleptic properties meet product and regulatory specifications. This includes communicating test results to Lab Manager and other management as necessary.
Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 5:00am-5:30pm.
Duration: 6-7 months temporary assignment.
What You Will Do
Test, sample, document, and manage out-of-specification call backs, including product releases.
Immediately contact supervisor if product does not meet specifications; recommend process adjustments.
Test finished product line samples for micro and analytical properties; obtain samples when needed.
Test raw and pasteurized samples for micro and analytical properties; obtain samples when needed.
Perform environmental conveyor swabbing as per standards.
Accurately record and retain analysis data.
Calibrate equipment to ensure results meet standards.
Perform additional tests as required.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline preferred or current pursuit of such degree.
2+ years of laboratory technician experience.
Nice to Have
Ability to attain Appendix N Industry Analyst certification if applicable.
Strong computer skills, especially MS Office.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
High organizational skills.
Competence in performing micro and analytical tests aligning with standards.
Basic microbiology knowledge and familiarity with plating methods.
