Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level Test Analyst to join our team in Diegem, Belgium. This role is focused on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business process validation, rather than technical application development testing. You will play a key role in ensuring the correct configuration of an off-the-shelf product, verifying that the designed business processes deliver the expected outcomes.
The position follows a Waterfall methodology and reports directly to the Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Planning & Strategy
Analyze business requirements and define testing objectives and scope.
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Identify key areas for functional testing.
2. Test Execution & Defect Management
Conduct manual testing across platforms (web, mobile, API, etc.).
Execute test cases, report defects, and manage their resolution.
Lead and support integration and UAT efforts.
3. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements.
Regularly communicate testing progress, risks, and results to stakeholders.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate and detailed test documentation.
Provide in-depth reports and defect analysis to inform project decisions.
Required Qualifications
Solid knowledge of software testing principles, SDLC, and STLC.
Proven experience in UAT and business process testing.
Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA, qTest, or ALM.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software testing.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
ISTQB certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MIS implementation projects (ideally: Trax to AMOS).
Background in the aviation industry (2+ years preferred).
