Senior Software Test Engineer – Web Applications
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Test Engineer with a strong focus on test automation to join our Life Science R&D group in Eindhoven. You will be part of an Agile Scrum Team developing applications for the Single Particle Analysis (SPA) workflow, specifically within the Sample Preparation team.
About the Role
Sample preparation is a critical step in the SPA workflow, directly influencing the quality of data collected and the final structural resolution. Our team ensures high-quality software solutions that support this process, and we need an expert in software testing to enhance quality and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Define testing scope, objectives, resources, and schedules for testing activities.
Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for software projects.
Create, execute, and maintain test cases (both manual and automated).
Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Python and Git to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Collaborate with the Test Architect to coordinate testing activities within the team.
Guide and support the Scrum Team in all quality aspects to achieve project goals.
Review requirements, acceptance criteria, and test specifications.
Conduct risk assessments and participate in defect root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:
BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related technical field.
6+ years of experience in software testing for high-tech equipment.
Experience with test automation using Python and Git.
ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
ISTQB Test Automation Engineer Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience with Web UI testing frameworks like Cypress or Selenium.
Experience with API testing.
Familiarity with desktop and web applications and their testing challenges.
