Reporting Location: remote with monthly required travel to the Roanoke, TX office
Travel Required: up to 10% (both domestic and international)

Role Overview:
The Quality Lab Technician will be responsible for performing day-to-day operation of the quality lab at Roanoke, Texas that include the checking in and organizing of field returns parts, developing analysis for HVAC components, designing test methods for failed components, performing and documenting investigation of field returned parts, and creating causal analysis reports.
Key Role Focuses:
Perform technical analysis of field return components
Design and develop new testing methods as needed
Capture and document analysis results to share with technical team
Organize day-to-day operation of quality lab to ensure process are robust to handle parts return and testing
Ability to operate various types of HVAC, mechanical and electrical tools
Knowledge of lab safety and safe working conditions
Maintain integrity of laboratory operation, organization and cleanliness
Perform repair and rework on equipment as needed
Ensure robust operating procedures for field return materials, testing procedures, and tools maintenance
Qualification Requirements:
High School Diploma / or equivalent required
3-5 years of overall experience in installation and/or troubleshooting HVAC systems
Experience working with HVAC/VRF/VRV systems
Understanding of various testing methods and tools
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft office, with ability to use excel, word and power point
Good written and communication skills
Exceptional organizational and time-management focus
Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity
Knowledge of HVAC Industry
Ability to perform in a high volume, fast paced call center environment
Proven ability to work independently as well as a productive member of a team
