Are you an experienced testing professional ready to lead a high-performing team and shape the future of quality assurance? We’re hiring on behalf of one of Ireland’s top-tier insurance providers for a Software Test Team Lead – a key role in ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-quality software delivery.
This is more than just a leadership role – it’s an opportunity to drive innovation, champion best practices, and work cross-functionally across the organisation. You’ll lead a talented test team while playing a hands-on role in both manual and automated testing strategies that directly support critical business functions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Define and enforce best-in-class testing standards across new and existing software solutions.
Plan, estimate, and manage test efforts across the full software development lifecycle.
Design and maintain robust automated test frameworks and tools.
Deliver high-quality test execution across functional, regression, UAT, API, security, and performance testing.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and manage defects.
Drive innovation in test practices by improving both manual and automated testing approaches.
Partner with the Test Manager on process improvements and delivery enhancements.
Lead quality initiatives, training sessions, and cross-team knowledge sharing.
Provide production support and testing coverage for critical releases and deployments.
What We’re Looking For:
6+ years’ experience in software testing, QA, or automation within a structured SDLC.
Strong proficiency in PL/SQL – this is a must.
Proven experience leading or mentoring testing teams in fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of automation tools – experience with Cypress is a distinct advantage.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools is desirable.
A continuous improvement mindset and strong stakeholder collaboration skills.
